Vogue’s 73 Questions

Hello!! Hope you are having a great week so far; my week has been spectacular. I am so excited to elaborate on what I have been up to in my blog post this Saturday. For today though, I was wracking my brain on a fun post… I stumbled upon this template for a parody of Vogue’s 73 Questions. These videos are so fun to watch (Selena Gomez is my favorite) and I thought it might be interesting to do it on my blog. So, here we go!

  1. What’s your usual Starbucks order? Grande Americano, no room. A classic.
  2. What does your work station look like? Currently, I’m learning a new job, so my mentors workspace is mine for now. But my spaces look clean, organized, and I always have my water bottle nearby.
  3. All-time favorite food? So tough. But I have to say tacos.
  4. Favorite author? Man, another difficult one. I guess favorite author of all time is William Shakespeare; he’s just timeless.
  5. What do you think of open relationships? You do you, but that is not for me!
  6. What is your favorite video game? Not a video game person myself, but I enjoy playing zombies with my boyfriend.
  7. Guilty pleasure treat? I don’t like to associate guilt with food, but I enjoy carbs of all kind.
  8. Your favorite movie? The Wizard of Oz.
  9. Favorite book? And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie
  10. Best advice you’ve ever received? Both my parents always taught me to stand up for myself and not to be pushed around.
  11. Twitter or Instagram? Instagram.
  12. Are you a desktop or laptop person? Laptop.
  13. What projects are you working on right now? Lots of work for the blog; I feel like the audience has been growing a bit, which is exciting but intimidating. I’m also working on making our apartment in MPLS feel more like home; it’s a process.
  14. What’s your favorite color? Gray.
  15. Did you get good grades in school? A’s and B’s; I’m proud of that.
  16. Dream job? Good grief, I hate this question; I have no idea.
  17. Played any sports? In high school, I swam and played volleyball.
  18. Do you have a degree? I do, I have a BA in English.
  19. Favorite Weekend Activity? On sunny days, I love to attend community events and fairs. On gloomy days, I love watching movies and reading books.
  20. What’s your favorite kind of blog post to do? Lately, I have really enjoyed writing more personal stories. For example, Why I Quit My Brand New Job & I’m Curvy — And Comfortable.
  21. What do you like to collect? Make-up and skin care products; it’s a problem!
  22. Describe yourself in 3 words? Loud, sassy, and bold.
  23. If you were a rapper what would your name rapper be? No one wants me to be a rapper.
  24. Who was the last person you DM’d? A close family friend, Cheri! We were chatting about my new job. She’s so great!
  25. What’s on the top of your wish list right now? To eliminate my college debt… not a fun answer, I know.
  26. Watch one all the way through: Harry Potter or Star Wars? My brother and I had this debate a while ago. Here was the conclusion we agreed upon: they are both good, no doubt, BUT we would prefer to sit down and watch all of the Harry Potter movies. Some Star Wars movies are great, but some are straight up terrible, whereas all of the Harry Potter movies are at least kind of good.
  27. How many tattoos do you have? Just one tattoo on my ankle; I got it in Colorado with my best friend.
  28. What are you most grateful for this year? My recent move to Minneapolis; I’m proud of this brave choice that has allowed me to grow so much.
  29. What’s the best thing that’s happened to you this month? I got an awesome new job!
  30. What’s the best thing that’s happened to you today? Today, I was searching for weekend events in MPLS and found that Colin Jost, part of the SNL cast and writing team, will be doing stand-up at a venue near me this weekend!! So Bryan and I are going.
  31. What’s the best thing ever? Vino.
  32. Favorite season? Springtime.
  33. Favorite holiday? Thanksgiving.
  34. Which fictional character do you relate to the most? Paulina from A Winter’s Tale by William Shakespeare. She is strong and unshakeable.
  35. Do you like surprises? Hm. I do, but if I know someone is keeping something from me I tend to ask a lot of questions.
  36. What’s the biggest surprise you ever had? My parents surprised my sister and I with a dog many years ago. It was very sweet.
  37. What’s the surprise that made you cry? I’m not sure this has happened… yet ?!
  38. What’s the best surprise you’ve ever given someone? I surprised Bryan with tickets to his favorite football team. I didn’t tell him until the morning of the game; he was shocked. It was such a great day.
  39. Do you like muffins? Yes, my favorite are lemon poppy seed muffins.
  40. Do you cook often? Nah, my mom always cooked for our family growing up and now Bryan does the cooking for the two of us.
  41. What’s your favorite dessert? I really enjoy Macarons.
  42. Is there a dessert you don’t like? Cheesecake.
  43. Cake or pie? Cake! I’ve never really liked pie.
  44. What’s your least favorite food? Seafood; I don’t eat any fish.
  45. What’s your favorite condiment? Hot sauce.
  46. It’s 4 AM on a Saturday night, what would you eat? Crackers.
  47. If you could teach a college class, what would it be called? Female Influence in Modern Literature: An introspective examination on women’s impact through publications within the last ten years.
  48. Best animated film? Pixar’s Coco. Aw, it is such a cute movie.
  49. What has a guy done or said to impress you? I’m trying to recall my single days for an entertaining story, but I can’t think of anything. Bryan bought me flowers the other day “just because” which was kind and impressive!
  50. Best thing to do on a first date? Dinner, ice cream, and a walk around a park.
  51. Worst thing to do on a first date? Talking about previous relationships.
  52. What’s the funniest pick-up line a guy could use on a girl? Nah, don’t like pick up lines.
  53. Best comic book character? Not a comic book reader, but my favorite superhero is Iron Man.
  54. What are three things that are always in your purse? Chapstick, old receipts, and a pen.
  55. Favorite drink? My drink of choice is currently Riesling.
  56. If you could play a historical figure in a movie who would it be? Queen Victoria of England.
  57. Kittens or puppies? If neither isn’t an option, than puppies.
  58. Tell me your favorite sushi roll? I wish I liked sushi, but I do not.
  59. What kind of lip stick do you use? Anything red.
  60. What kind of foundation do you use? Sephora Collection 10 HR Wear Perfection Foundation.
  61. Blow dry or air dry? Blow dry.
  62. Who is your fashion icon? A random collection of people I follow on instagram.
  63. Favorite Disney Character? Rapunzel.
  64. What are you doing tomorrow? Tomorrow I am working 8:00am to 5:00pm. Bryan is sick right now so I’m probably just coming home to tidy up and take care of him!
  65. Movie you laughed the hardest through? Bridesmaids.
  66. Movie that made you cry? Room. This movie had me bawling on an airplane.
  67. If you could sing a duet with someone, who would it be? Lizzo, my hero.
  68. If your life was a song, what would the title be? Broke Bitch.
  69. What’s your favorite animal? Lions.
  70. Current favorite song? Truth Hurts by Lizzo.
  71. Person you wanna have coffee with? Michelle Obama.
  72. What’s the country you wish to visit? Greece; I’ll make it there someday!
  73. Best way to decompress? A long, hot shower, followed by tea and a face-mask.
